The persimmons are becoming a dried fruit called Hoshigaki(干し柿) in Japan
, in my porch.
It has been just a month since we began to make them.
(My wife peeled the skin of persimmons and tied with a piece of string,
and hung it in porch at the fifteen day of October)
Have the persimmons changed from astringent to sweet?

ベランダで、柿が干し柿になってきた。
作り始めてからちょうど1ヶ月。
(10月15日、ベランダで 妻が柿の皮をむき、紐につないで、つるしたのだ)
柿は甘くなったろうか。

Persimmons to make Hoshigaki are unbearably astringent.
Peeling it and then hanging to dry is a good idea.
Were your Hoshigaki fully done well? Was it good taste?
Unlike another dried fruit, Hoshigaki is succulent with concentrated
persimmon flavor that is tender and moist.
I like it.
