The role of supports 支柱の役割

I made a comparison between green onions with supports and those without supports in
community farm,this morning .
The green onions without supports fell down much more than those with supports.
Moreover, there were a lot of those died among the green onions without supports.
Though it was not able to compare easily only the fact, I understood about the importance of supports for good growth of vegetables.
今朝、市民農園で、支柱で支えられるねぎと支えてないねぎを比べてみた。
支えてないねぎの方が多く倒れていた。
その上、そのねぎの中に、枯れているねぎが多かった。
その事実だけで、安易に比べることができないが、野菜の良き成長の
ために、支柱の重要性を理解した。

On looking photos, I understood the difference immediately.
Fenced onions grow straight up and look strong.
Only as for the use of supports, I don't know for sure about onion growth, but I found it to keep vegetables in position much better than the others without supports.
Surely it will be interesting to compare size of onions after harvesting.
I think it is necessary to make their environment for growing well.
The makeup of supports is one of matters, which planters must work hard for growing well. I think.
As you saw , the green onions without supports looked like not be strong ,add to this, not be beautiful.
I want to make a beautiful vegetables garden.
I am going to be busy.
