I watched onTV program "Japanology"
It was broadcasted on the theme of the Tanka poetry.

「ジャパノロジー」を見た。
短歌がテーマだった。

Coming out
from Tago's nestled cove,
I gaze:
white.pure white
the snow has fallen
on Fuji's lofty peak.

田子の浦ゆ　打ち出でて　みれば
真白にぞ
富士の高嶺に雪はふりけり
